Nanocade turns your netbook into an arcade cabinet

Posted in Netbook by Conner Flynn on January 31st, 2011

Netbooks are cool, but they aren’t arcade cabinets. Not typically. But with the Nanocade you can have both. It’s a kit from designer Rasmus Sorensen that lets you turn a netbook or mini-ITX motherboard and 10.1-inch display into a laptop arcade cabinet.

If you have a spare netbook to make this happen, the kit ships in March and it is easy to do. As long as you have the $349 plus shipping that is. It’s totally worth it.

Power Hub keeps cables neat and tidy

Posted in Power Strips by Conner Flynn on January 31st, 2011

Power cables suck. It’s a simple fact. But they are necessary. So how do you keep them from getting all tangled up and looking like a mess? Well, one way is by using the Power Hub. It’s an under-the-desk plug point housing which ensures that all cables remain together, while letting you roll up the excess cable.

It has three openings on top where you can direct your cords neatly to your power strip. Also three integrated chord anchors will wrap and hide all the excess cabling. It is compact so it can be placed anywhere you want. If interest is high enough, the Power Hub will be manufactured and cost just $23.95.

Pokemon typing game for Nintendo DS to come with Bluetooth Keyboard

Posted in Nintendo DS by Conner Flynn on January 31st, 2011

Typing isn’t involved in any of the Pokemon games that I’ve ever seen, but the upcoming Pokemon typing tutor game for the Nintendo DS, Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS, will come bundled with a Bluetooth keyboard.

The cartridge will have a built-in Bluetooth chip, since the DS itself doesn’t have Bluetooth. Our guess is that a game that comes with it’s own keyboard will not be a hit since kids want to play games, not type, but who knows. The Pokemon typing game will be released in Japan this April for an unknown price.
