ViewSonic gTablet pulled due to flaws

Posted in Tablet PC by Conner Flynn on December 19th, 2010

Google and NVIDIA together faced their second setback together as a leak on Saturday revealed that Staples was pulling the ViewSonic gTablet from store shelves. The tablet is being pulled due to a “manufacturing defect” and its display area has been removed entirely.

Right now there’s no indication that the gTablet will ever return, and customers who are seeing this week’s flyer will be told that there’s no equivalent replacement. Also, neither Staples or Viewsonic has explained what the mystery flaw is or whether the gTablet would return later fixed.
