Samsung Focus gets massive tear-down

Posted in Samsung by Conner Flynn on December 22nd, 2010

So what exactly is inside of a Samsung Focus? If you’ve been dying to know, but have been understandably unwilling to take yours apart, don’t worry. Someone has done it for you, dissecting the whole thing, and showing you the various chips that are on board from Qualcomm, Micron and others.

One thing they noticed is the use of SanDisk 8GB NAND flash RAM, instead of Samsung’s own memory solutions. The 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is also in there. No need to take apart your own to satisfy your curiosity.

I really like the guts of this phone. It shows how probable technology is getting through these great years of no return. Imagine hacking open this thing in 1981! This is the type of phone lads can really apprehend without seeming to lanky.
