Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on December 9th, 2010

Most people use their phones as a watch these days, but not as many use their watch as a phone. This is changing as watches can do more. The sWaP Rebel is first and foremost a watch. One that has cellphone functionality, a touchscreen color display, a built-in camera, FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity among other features.

The price isn’t too bad at £190 and you can choose from black, pink, orange, white and green colors, but it won’t replace your primary handset. It’s always nice to see watches doing more and more though.

It’s made out of plastic with stainless steel blades and it’s shaped like the classic Pi symbol. It would be perfect if it only cost $3.14, but it’s $17.99. The dual blades will cut every slice perfectly, the way you want.

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on December 9th, 2010

You can choose from a million alarm clock docks, most with the same basic features. Or you can choose one that is more original, like the TimeCommand. This dock will dock and charge your iPod, iPhone, or iPad and has an adjustable connector that will work if you have your gadget in a case or not in a case. A free app can also be downloaded to let you set multiple alarms.

The neatest feature is that you can plug in your bedside lamp and the TimeCommand will wake you to your alarm as well as light from the lamp. With the app it can be dimmed and a timer can cut the lamp off when you go to bed.

OnLive CEO dismisses plans to take on Netflix

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on December 9th, 2010

Word on the street was that OnLive would be getting into the streaming movie business. And why not? They are a streaming gaming service. However, the CEO of OnLive, Steven Perlman, has come out and said that the company is not aiming to compete with Netflix.

That’s good news for those who are buying the service. The company needs to focus on games and bolster up their somewhat meager games selection. It’s smart to just focus on games, at least for now.
