Android Market gets ‘Related’ apps tab without Android 2.3

Posted in Android by Conner Flynn on December 5th, 2010

Google has updated its Android Marketplace to deliver the highly requested ‘Related’ tab to help shoppers looking for similar apps. The feature which makes apps more easily discoverable, was at first thought to be unique to the forthcoming Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update. But users with a Droid 2 and Nexus One running Android 2.2 (Froyo) have discovered the tab appear on their devices overnight.

However, judging by the initial screenshots, the accuracy of the recommendations seems to need more tweaking. Users have reported finding related apps that are more relevant to their search up to a page down.
