Kinect used to control Super Mario on a PC

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on November 28th, 2010

We’ve all been waiting to see Kinect in control of a truly classic game and now you can. The same guy that recently brought us the Kinect lightsaber has a hack that lets you enjoy a game of Super Mario controlled only by your body moves.

OpenKinect was used to get the motion-sensing peripheral to communicate with his PC, while a simple NES emulator brought the game to life. Check out the video below as this guy prances around just like our favorite plumber and controls Mario’s on screen antics.
