Philips Econova Green TV with solar-powered remote

Philips has unveiled its Econova LED TV, which has been awarded the European Green EV 2010-2011 by the European Imaging & Sound Association. It was designed to be environmentally friendly without giving up performance.

This 42-inch LED TV uses just 40W of power in eco-mode and even comes with a solar-powered remote control, e-manual and it uses a recycled aluminum panel. The latest LED technology is also on board to reduce energy consumption by up to 60 percent, while still giving you best-in-class picture quality.

Neon Gen phone concept with twistable display

The Neon Gen concept phone has a slim and sexy design. It also features a rotating display. The phone consists of two parts and can easily be slid open from the side, then you twist the top half to reveal the display.

The display supports touchscreen input and uses clips instead of screws to make assembly easy and presumably cheaper. The slim design makes it easy to carry with you in any situation. It might not be long until we see this sort of design being offered by manufacturers.

58-inch Table Connect for iPhone multitouch makes your iPhone giant

The Table Connect for iPhone is a 58-inch multitouch surface that accepts iPhone 4 connections via a 30-pin Dock Connector and then becomes your iPhone. The team is currently wrapping up an alpha software release, and even though a jailbroken iPhone is necessary, this is pretty impressive.

We hope that this will eventually go on sale for the rich and giant iPhone needing folks among us.

Speck Releases Limited Edition Fitted iPhone 4 Cases for Halloween

It may be too late to celebrate dressing up your iPhone for Halloween this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be ready for next year. And so Speck has released a collection of Special Spooky Limited Edition iPhone 4 cases.

Only 62 of each of these case designs have been made and they are designed by Dirty Donny. There is the Fitted for iPhone 4 Monster Revolt, Rock of Lamb, King Death, and Eyeballz. All very appropriate for Halloween.

Sceptre has just announced a new 42-inch 120Hz LED HDTV to its Galaxy Series. This wall mountable 42-inch LED HDTV features a 120Hz refresh rate that produces sharper and cleaner images. There’s also an equalizer setting, so you can fine tune the volume of the audio any way you like.

You’ll also get 5 HDMI ports, a USB port and a tempered glass swiveling stand. The Sceptre Galaxy Series 42-inch 120Hz LED HDTV is available at stores like Target, Sears, Amazon, and Kmart to name a few.

BenQ GL2430HM Full HD Monitor

BenQ has unveiled another Full HD monitor in the form of the GL2430HM. It uses BenQ’s Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology for enhancing the color, clarity and contrast of whatever video content you are watching.

This 24-inch LED-backlit monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time. As far as connectivity ports, it offers DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI.

England’s Pizza Express installs iPod docks in restaurants

If you live in the United Kingdom, you might have heard of the pizza chain “Pizza Express.” The rest of us, not so much. Soon they will have iPod docks behind the seats, starting with their Richmond location.

It’s all part of a ground-up redesign of the chain and they are calling the experiment “The Living Lab.” They will have electrical hook-ups all over the place so that customers can stay connected. Other features include sound-proof parabolic booths and a call light like you find on airplanes.

HTC Surround and Samsung Focus available November 8th from AT&T

AT&T has just made it official that they will be offering both the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus starting on November 8th. The Surround and Focus are two of the carrier’s three Windows Phone 7 launch phones.

AT&T’s third Windows Phone 7 will be the LG Quantum, which will also launch on the same day. The carrier also said that its BlackBerry Torch smartphone will be available in red on November 7th, and that it will launch a new promotion giving a free accessory to customers who purchase two other accessories at full price.

HTC Wildfire coming to the US this quarter via unknown carriers

The HTC Wildfire has been launched in Europe and Asia in the first half of this year and now HTC has announced that it will be landing on American regional carriers before the end of 2010. No mention of which carrier will be offering the phone, but considering that regional carriers were mentioned, it could be MetroPCS, Cricket, US Cellular, Cellular South and similar.

Nothing on pricing yet, but the phone will generally cost you about $300 without a contract. It runs Android 2.1, but an update to Froyo should be released later this year by HTC. The smartphone also features a 3.2 inch QVGA (240 x 320) multi-touch capacitive display, Wi-Fi, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, and MicroSD card support.

320GB PlayStation 3 to retail without Move for $350

Sony has been selling a 320GB PS3 bundled with a Move controller, PlayStation Eye, and Sports Champions for $400, but now the 320GB model will soon be available all by itself. Great for those of us who hate to move around. At only $50 more, the bundle with the Move paraphernalia is a great deal though.

Sony says they are shipping the new standalone SKU to stores right now so keep an eye out for it and a spare $350.

Apple removes white iPhone 4 from website

Bad news for fans of the white iPhone 4. After reports that Apple might be thinking of canceling the white iPhone 4, it has now been confirmed that the white iPhone 4 has disappeared from Apple’s online store.

That leaves the black iPhone 4 all alone. And no, there isn’t a placeholder for the item. This may be a sign that the white iPhone 4 has in fact been canceled. We’ll keep you posted if we learn more on the matter.

£90 Android Tablet comes to Toys ‘R’ Us

Toys R Us will soon be carrying the Elonex eTouch tablet for just £90. That makes it the cheapest model around. Just don’t expect an iPad killer. You can choose from a couple of models: There’s a 7-inch model and a 10-inch model for £149.99.

The 10-inch model comes with just 2GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with a microSD memory card. It runs on an ARM 11 1GHz processor and is powered by Android 2.1. Might be a good gift for the kids.

Walmart sells HP Garden Dreams Pavilion dv5-2129wm Special Edition Laptop

Walmart is now selling the HP Garden Dreams Pavilion dv5-2129wm Special Edition Laptop. This 14.5-inch laptop sports a spring look thanks to its floral design, despite winter coming soon. This is a Walmart exclusive, powered by an AMD Turion II P540 processor and the ATI Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics chipset, 4GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

Some other specs include Wi-Fi N, 3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output and a 5-in-1 media card reader. It will cost you $598.

Novatech nTablet dual boots Windows 7 and Android

If you want to buy a tablet, but can’t decide between Google Android and Windows 7, why not have both? The Novatech nTablet will dual boot either OS. The device features the same design as the ViewSonic Viewpad 100 and the Tegatech Tega v2.

This is not a cheap tablet however, the device will set you back GBP349.99 ($552) without an OS. If you decide on Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional it will cost you $693 and $740.

Funko Star Wars retractable earbuds

The force is strong with these cute earbuds. They are the Funko Star Wars Retractable Earbuds. They come in Yoda, Darth Vader, and a Storm Trooper. Apparently, the earbuds are the color coordinated arms coming out of each respective character.

Who cares if they are total crap. I’d buy these just to have ‘em. Congrats to Funko for making earbuds fun. Hopefully they will come out with more soon. The collection of Star Wars Retractable Earbuds retails for $24.95.
