New Nook is Android-based, full-color

Posted in ebooks by Conner Flynn on October 22nd, 2010

Looks like the rumored Nook color e-reader from Barnes & Noble will be Android-powered and scheduled for an October 26th release. It will have a $249 price point. We aren’t sure what kind of color display this model will feature.

Hopefully one that can be viewed under direct sunlight. And we wouldn’t mind the ability to display video. If that date is correct then we will know soon. Stay tuned. You’ll get more info when we have it.

I own the first NOOK and really like it. I am hoping the new one is as easy to read but offer full touch screen. At $249 I wonder if it comes with the 3G?
