Sharp announces Galapagos e-reading tablets

Posted in Sharp by Conner Flynn on September 27th, 2010

Sharp missed out on the Tablet wars and are instead focusing on an eBook reader. Their new Galapagos e-reading tablets will hit stores in December and there are two models available. One has a 5.5-inch LCD screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution while the second is larger with a 10.8-inch display featuring a 1366 x 800 pixel resolution.

They also have a track ball for navigation that you can use like a PC mouse and can flip the pages. Both are loaded with Wi-Fi and are heading to the Japanese market. Hopefully they will hit the US soon as well.
