Nokia Star Trek Communicator

Posted in Nokia by Conner Flynn on September 16th, 2010

You probably already know that Nokia had some product placement in the latest Star Trek, but Nokia also made a few never-released prototypes for the movie. The beautiful “Starfleet Communicator” above apparently one of only 14 units made by Nokia, is intended to look like the comms of the original TV series.

It’s based on the N76 and comes with an external LCD and a trio of lights on front, with the familiar brass grill. It’s a fully functioning phone that really chirps when you flip it open. How awesome is that?

We want one.
