I just mentioned a new digital camera that Leica has unveiled that had the style common of Leica offerings. Leica also has a new superzoom camera that it is debuting today called the V-Lux 2 that has a design more like a traditional digital camera more than the retro looks of most Leica offerings.

The new camera has a massive zoom range of 24x covering the 35mm focal range of 25 to 600mm. the camera has a 14.1MP sensor for high resolution and can record HD video in AVCHD format. The rear LCD of the camera is 3-inches and it has a resolution of 460k pixels. The camera can also shoot bursts at high speeds with 11 frames per second at full resolution.

If that burst rate isn’t fast enough it can shoot 60 frames per second at 2.8MP resolution. The camera has a full range of manual and automatic modes. Features include face tracking, AF tracking, and continuous focusing. A wealth of scene and color modes are also offered along with multiple white balance settings. The camera will hit the UK in October for £675.
