Posted in Comcast by Conner Flynn on August 9th, 2010

In an effort to unsettle Netflix, Blockbuster and Comcast have teamed up to offer their new service, which is called DVDs By Mail. This is basically a discounted Blockbuster Online subscription for Comcast customers.

The site’s only advantage is discounted pricing for existing Comcast subscribers with a Double or Triple Play package. If you log in to your Comcast account it looks like you will be greeted with a dollar off Blockbuster’s most basic, one disc at a time plan ($7.99 versus $8.99). All other options are priced as they would be for a non-Comcast customer.

Top Gear USA coming after all

Posted in Automotive by Shane McGlaun on August 9th, 2010

I really like cars and have been a big fan of Top Gear for years. The only thing that bothers me about the UK version of Top Gear is that they often hate on American cars and are known to get the facts of some cars completely wrong.

Long ago, there was rumored to be a version of Top Gear in the works for the US market with Adam Corolla. That program was cancelled before it even aired.

EFO iPazzPort HTPC Keyboard looks like a BlackBerry

Posted in Home Theater by Conner Flynn on August 8th, 2010

This EFO iPazzPort keyboard looks a lot like a BlackBerry. A rare Albino Blackberry. This is the third generation model and as such adds on function keys that can be used during bootup (You know, the old “Hit F1 to enter BIOS”), dedicated keys for playing and pausing etc, and a laser pointer.

There is also of course the convenient QWERTY keyboard. It can be yours for just $45. It won’t make calls.
