GefenTV launches Auto Volume Stabilizer to quiet those commercials

Posted in Home Theater by Shane McGlaun on August 24th, 2010

I really hate it when I am watching something that isn’t on the DVR and I have to watch commercials. I hate it even more when those commercials are ten times louder than the show I was trying to watch to start with. GefenTV has a new device called the Auto Volume Stabilizer.

The little device connects inline between your source device like a Blu-ray player or set-top box and your audio system. It has analog and digital inputs on the rear and adjusts the volume to consistent levels without you ever realizing it is doing it. At least that is what GefenTV claims.

The device runs on 5V DC power, which means you will need an AC outlet for it. The audio can also be passed through without any processing if desired. The little device sells for $179 and can be ordered right now.
