Hot on the heels of that Consumer Reports issue, now PR experts are saying that a hardware recall for the new iPhone is inevitable. It all comes down to PR. By now, everyone who has an iPhone 4 has either experienced the situation, or knows someone who has, or has heard about it.
Apple is saying that a software fix is being tested, but whether it’s a software issue or not hardly matters anymore. It’s an obvious design snafu. So is a recall needed? Or will free fixes be offered? One thing is for sure, this kind of design stupidity is unfair to it’s loyal customers. Stay tuned.
