Plantronics updates GameCom 777 headset

Posted in Plantronics by Shane McGlaun on June 17th, 2010

Way back in 2008 I mentioned the then new GameCom 777 USB virtual 5.1 surround sound headset. The headset was for gamers and had a USB amp and normal mic and headphone plugs too. Plantronics has announced a new updated version of the GameCom 777.

The new version of the headset has the same design and also has the USB amp included. The main difference is the new version has simulated 7.1-surround sound. The headset has a hide-away mic that’s out of the way when you don’t need it.

The mic used is noise cancelling and the headphones are made with padded ear pods for comfort. The exact ship date for the new headphones is unknown as is the price. The previous generation was about $100.
