Apple has just announced that it has sold 3 million iPads worldwide since the US launch date. Impressive? Hell yes. The announcement also mentions that the tablet will be hitting nine more countries during July alone.

The release also boasts that there are now 11,000 apps for the iPad. That’s more than double the 5,000 that were available at the end of May. Not bad at all for a tablet that doesn’t have flash. The iPad is like the Borg, assimilating whole planets of buyers. At this rate everyone will have an iPad by Christmas.
