2020 Harley-Davidson concept is Batman approved

Posted in Automotive by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2010

This concept design for a futuristic Harley-Davidson motorcycle looks a lot like Batman’s Batcycle from The Dark Knight. And that is an awesome thing. Might as well wear the entire costume and cruise around Gotham looking for crazies.

The design itself is low on details, but we don’t even care. Ten years from now I want to be riding this thing. That’s all there is to it. By then I might even be able to afford it in my Batcave.

The ever increasing watch

Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2010

Here’s another watch that looks like it came straight out of a Sci-Fi movie. It looks awesome and as is usually the case with these watches it is hard to read. This one comes from the folks at Yanko Design from Eleeno. It’s called the Ever Increasing Watch.

The face has a grid and dotted lines that looks like a graph. The top blue line is the hours, the middle green line is the minutes in tens, and the bottom red line shows single minutes. The lines have the numbers underneath as well to make it easier.

Penthouse Cell Phone Watch is huge

Posted in Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2010

Look at the size of this watch phone. It’s so big I can see Cindy Crawford’s mole. They describe it as a “compact 47 x 55 frame” that is the world’s smallest super cell phone. I suppose if you want an actual phone on your wrist, you want it this size though just to be functional.

The Penthouse watch phone features a 1.5 inch touchscreen, full native quad band functionality for worldwide use, Dual SIM card slots for business and personal communications, and is fully unlocked for use on whatever network you choose.

Tokyoflash Round Trip pocket watch

Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2010

Tokyoflash watches are pretty awesome. Without them, timekeeping would be boring. Here’s there latest creation. A modern pocket watch. The Tokyoflash Round Trip pocket watch charges via USB and the shapes, and colors tell the time…somehow.

A single charge takes about three hours, but Tokyoflash claims it’ll last a month once finished charging. At $73 this is an expensive nerd conversation peice. Pretty though.

Wii Rowing Machine

Posted in Wii Accessories by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2010

CTA, makers of all manner of strange Wii peripherals, is back. This time they are offering a plastic drawbar / foot pedal combo that is “very similar to a rowing machine you would find at the gym,”. Somehow we doubt that, but whatever.

It’s designed for games like Wii Sports Resort and will no doubt begin collecting dust immediately, like the rest of your exercise gear. You can pre-order it now at Amazon if you like.

Posted in Apple by Shane McGlaun on May 18th, 2010

I have used the Tango stylus for the iPhone before and the thing works very well for hitting small buttons and links with more accuracy. The problem was that there was no place to put the stylus in most cases making it hard to take along on the road.

Ten1 has announced a new case called the Tango Leather case and stylus. The device has full-grain leather on the outside and a soft microsuede interior. The interior can be had in light blue or green colors.

Kindle for Android features Whispersync, which will keep your bookmarks, last page read, notes, and highlights all synchronized across all your Kindle-enabled devices. You still have a wait, but it will be here soon.

Robot marries couple in Japan

Posted in Robots by Conner Flynn on May 17th, 2010

Here’s a heartwarming story of two robot geeks that fell in love and were then married by a robot. Tomohiro Shibato and Satoko Inoue were married in a ceremony conducted by none other than the 4-foot tall i-Fairy robot.

We aren’t sure if that is actually legal in Japan. And if it isn’t, this guy has a legal way out at some point. At the very least I hope this same robot will handle the divorce. We hear that some Roomba’s walked her down the aisle and Asimo caught the bouquet, while Bender smoked a cigar in back and proclaimed, “I’d hit that”.
