Posted in iPad by Conner Flynn on April 14th, 2010

You may love your new iPad and sleep with it at night like a soft Teddy Bear, but believe it or not, there are some people who don’t yet have one. The international market is still waiting. Now they have a bit longer to wait.

Citing “surprisingly strong US demand,” Apple has delayed the international launch of the iPad by one month. It’s strange that Apple wouldn’t realize that the demand would be so high.

The Alex eReader was popular during CES and has been the source of a legal battle between Spring Design and Barnes & Noble. If you have been waiting to get your hands on the Alex, you can now do just that.

The Alex is now shipping for $399. That price is $100 off the price of the much more capable iPad, which may make some that have been waiting for the Alex lean more to the iPad. The Alex has dual screens.

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on April 14th, 2010

Here’s a simple solution to the Droid’s keyboard, which isn’t the best for gaming. The D-pad is on the wrong side. Well, the Game Gripper moves it over to a better position on the left and also adds eight buttons. Now the Droid is much better gaming phone.

Apparently, the Gripper buttons simply press the keys on the keyboard, but it will give you more of a game feel. It’s only $15. Not a bad price for swapping that D-Pad where it belongs.

CrystalRoc decks out an Xbox 360 with Swarovski Crystals

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on April 13th, 2010

Enough with the tacky Swarovski crystals already. Game consoles should look tough and functional, strong. They shouldn’t look like Elton John on a Saturday night. The folks over at CrystalRoc can’t seem to stop themselves, as they are now offering this blinged out Xbox 360.

Apparently this particular eyesore will be used for one of Microsoft’s PR campaigns. Supposedly it took over 70 hours to finish, and they used more than 11,520 individual Swarovski crystals. It probably won’t show up for sale.

Posted in USB Flash Drives by Conner Flynn on April 13th, 2010

You certainly have your choice of USB flash drives, but this Iron Man flash drive is pretty damn awesome. They don’t get much cooler or geekier than this. It has some nice detail.

For $39.50 you get a 4GB capacity. Sadly that’s all you get. No multimedia special clips. No secret message from Tony Stark. Just the drive. But that’s cool, this drive looks great and we are just waiting for the movie.

Changing radio channels is like racing with this Gear Shift Radio. It’s designed to look like a car’s gear system and requires that you shift gears in order to control the radio, thereby adding some unnecessary work to what would otherwise be an enjoyable listening experience.

No drivers license required, but you do need some AAA batteries. The Gear Shift FM Radio will cost you $24. Now maybe you can get a dashboard display to go with it.
