One of those questions which was queried directly to Steve Jobs himself was answered today, apparently by Steve Jobs himself.

Street Headphones let you customize text on the headband

Posted in Headphones by Conner Flynn on March 7th, 2010

You don’t see this kind of design on headphones everyday. It’s called the Street Headphone. It has a laser sintered polyamide outer shell, which is created using the rapid manufacturing process. That means you can personalize your own outer shell with something custom etched.

It can be lyrics, your name, or whatever you want others to read. The only problem is the price. The headphones will cost you about €833 (or $1,140). Some people don’t spend that much on a TV. But if you are in love with the idea, then go for it. Hopefully they last longer than most headphones for that price.

If you think that the PSP is just another gadget whose time has passed, think again. It can still surprise you. This mod turns a PSP into a VU Meter (volume meter). It’s not a mod that most of us have any use for, but it shows the versatility of the PSP and what can be done.

You can check out a video below. It makes for some great effects while playing music. We would all like our PSPs to rock out like that.

Doctor Who Tardis zipperrobe

Posted in Apparel by Conner Flynn on March 7th, 2010

So where does the Doctor keep his clothes? It’s a little known secret that he keeps them in this Tardis zipperobe, which is tucked away in a quiet corner of his actual Tardis. So he has a Tardis within a Tardis. True story.

Sorry, if you are on the large end of the spectrum, putting your clothes into this Tardis zipperrobe will not make them larger on the inside than on the outside. You will still need to lose weight.

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on March 7th, 2010

AT-ATs can do more than just crush rebellions on Snow planets. They can also help you tidy up untidy cables on your desk. This DIY kit includes space for a surge protector and a detachable remote caddy.

Pretty awesome. But just like the real thing, it can easily be taken down and brought to it’s knees should tiny snowspeeders use those cables to fight back. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen and make a mess of your desk.

Panasonic Announces Lumix DMC-G2 and G10

Posted in Digital Cameras by Darrin Olson on March 7th, 2010

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 CameraPanasonic announced on Sunday two new Micro Four-Thirds cameras, the Lumix DMC-G2 and a less expensive Lumix G10. Both cameras are in Panasonic’s line of “smaller” digital cameras in comparison to D-SLR’s, going without a mirror box or a dedicated autofocus image sensor.

The DMC-G2 appears to be a successor to the DMC-G1 announced in late 2008 with some added features. The Lumix DMC-G2 still has a 12.1 megapixel sensor, movable LCD screen, is similar in size and has a rubber-coated body like its predecessor, but in this version has added in a touch screen and high-def video capture. According to Panasonic this marks the …”first interchangeable lens system camera with touch-control shooting.”

If you’ve been following the phenomenon, than you know that folks over in South Korea have been using snack sausages as a stylus for their iPhones, which is especially useful in the winter because you can’t use the iPhone’s touch screen through your gloves.

And now CaseCrown, a company known for selling iPhone cases has received a large shipment of these sausages and is offering them for $0.99 each. It has the added bonus of feeding you when you get hungry too unlike a normal stylus.

Xbox may get more Styles, Price Points and Options in the Future

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on March 6th, 2010

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer made a casual remark about the future of the Xbox. He hints that there might be new form factors, options, and price points coming:

In the case of the TV we’ve got both strategies. We actually have a TV implementation in some senses built into Windows,” Ballmer said. “It works really well for small screen TVs that you might call a PC, but for that big screen device here’s a piece of hardware that we build, there’s no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it’s going to [be] important.

Tokyo Flash Hexagon Watch

Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on March 5th, 2010

If bees wore watches this is what they would look like. Just looking at this watch, you know it’s from Tokyo Flash. But this Hexagonal watch isn’t real, it’s just a stunning concept. We hope that Tokyo Flash decides to make it real.

Telling the time on this thing is easy. The blue colored LEDS are the hours, five minute increments are purple and individual minutes are pink. So are you all buzzing about this watch? Sorry, bad joke. I’ll bee more careful in the future.
