New pics of Microsoft Courier

Posted in Microsoft by Conner Flynn on March 7th, 2010

Some new pics have surfaced of Microsoft’s dual-screen Courier, and it looks like it should be a decent competitor to the iPad. Some new details accompany the new pics as well. The device is less than inch thick, weighs just over a pound, and the two screens are about the size of a 5 x 7 photo.

There’s apparently a built-in camera and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 graphics processor will be driving a version of the Zune HD and Windows Phone 7 interfaces.

The launch date is a ways off yet, at some point between the third and fourth quarter of this year. Price is still unknown.

I am waiting for this device before purchasing any ebook reader because I want my reader to be the best possible solution. I must have color and only Microsoft knows how to build, market and support robust solutions.

Does it have a flash player??

The demo video shows an imbedded youtube video so perhaps it does, (unless that’s html5)

Hahaha. What’s worse than a shitty product that does next to nothing useful? A poorly-done COPYCAT of a shitty product that does next to nothing.

I love the design of this unit. It’s about time that some thought was given to the ergonomics of mobile units. I’d buy one. Ideal for personal presentations.
