The Motorola Backflip has an unusual form factor and if you like what it is offering, you’ll be happy to know that the Motorola Backflip is now available on AT&T’s website. You can get the backwards folding phone for just $99, after rebate and the two-year contract agreement.

Some features of the Motorola Backflip include the ability to do backflips all day long, Android 1.5 (upgradable to 2.1), a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card expansion up to 32GB and a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display.

Upgraded my iPhone 3G to the Backflip. I love it and I’m loving Android. That being said, I would love a 2.1 upgrade. Please Moto – help!!

I like everything except the Android 1.5 and a promise to upgrade to 2.1.. Frankly at&t has an awful track record with long term support on their phones, so I am dubious of a 2.1 upgrade ever happening. When at&t says they will do this, and follow through, then I will believe they have changed their ways. Don’t go on Motorola’s word alone.. at&t can’t be trusted..
