iTable offers multitouch for 32 fingers

Posted in Computers by Shane McGlaun on March 8th, 2010

We have seen all sorts of cool gear turn up at CeBIT in Germany ranging from PC hardware to new notebooks and netbooks. One of my favorite devices to debut at the show was the iTable. The thing is like a giant iPad that you can sit your drinks on.

The iTable has a 42-inch HD resolution screen and a full PC inside its 1.5-inch thick top. The screen support input from 32 fingers at once. It can also get input from a stylus, pen, bottle, or cup as well.

The device connects to the internet and offers access to all sorts of apps and other services. The business version of the iTable is set to debut in Q2 with a home version said to be “much cheaper” than the business version coming later in the year.
