If you’re looking for a decent budget netbook, the ASUS 1001PX is worth a look. It features a carbon fiber type lid and packs either Windows XP, with a 160GB hard drive and a 5-hour battery life; or Windows 7 with a 250GB hard drive, a larger 6-cell battery and 9-hour battery life.

Looks like the Windows XP version will cost about $325 while the Windows 7 version will run you $400. Both netbooks have the same specs otherwise.

Some features include a 10.1-inch display, 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom N450 processor, VGA and Ethernet ports and Three USB ports.
