Astro A30 Headset for your PC, consoles and phone

Posted in Headphones by Conner Flynn on March 16th, 2010

The Astro A40 headset is designed for professional gamers and costs $250. The A30′s will only cost you $149, which is still way too expensive for a pair of gaming headphones, but closer to what we can all afford. The A30 has features like a detachable mic so you can use them as normal headphones after your gaming.

But it doesn’t ditch the amp and cords setup that made using the A40′s with the Xbox such a chore. Maybe that doesn’t bother you and if so, these look like they’re worth checking out if you have the scratch.

  2. Mark Says:

The A30 is a STEREO headset that costs $150 and can not be connected directly to the Xbox 360 because it’s unamplified. It’s $220 with the MixAmp–which is pretty much required anyway because using the A30 passively would be horrendous.

    MAJOR FAIL ASTRO!
