Android Market comes to the Mac desktop with DoubleTwist

DoubleTwist’s latest update is great for Mac users, since it adds to its media syncing functionality for non-Apple devices like Google’s Android. Probably the best feature of this version is that you’re able to browse the Android App Store directly on your Mac desktop, just like you browse Apple’s App Store on iTunes.

And if you want something, just take a photo of the QR code on screen, and it will be downloaded directly to your Android phone. Pretty sweet. This is much better than trying to search for a program on your phone’s small screen.

DoubleTwist is also working on an over-the-air download method, which would allow you to send the apps to your phone without having to go through the hassle of even scanning the QR code.
