Verizon Smartphones get unlimited Skype-to-Skype calling

Posted in Skype by Conner Flynn on February 16th, 2010

Starting next month, nine Verizon smartphones with accompanying 3G plans will be able to make unlimited Skype-to-Skype calls and call out to regular phones internationally at a reduced rate.

Sounds like great news at first, but the problem is, you can’t call Skype out to regular lines domestically to save minutes. On AT&T, the fring iPhone app allows Skype-out calling. When will Verizon allow domestic Skype-out?

It’s at least a step in the right direction.
