One of the advantages of owning a PS3 over an Xbox 360 is that Microsoft charges for its Xbox Live service and PSN is free. But maybe not for long. You may or may not have to pay for PSN in the future.
In November, a presentation slide revealed that Sony had a paid subscription plan in the works for PSN. And now Peter Dille in an interview with IGN says that “it’s something we’re thinking about”.
If they do decide to charge for it, how much are we talking? I would say that free PSN adds to the value of the system, getting them more buyers, but it’s not like I’m in charge. Well, at least you are getting a Blu-Ray player and Netflix streaming.

WHAT!!?? xbox live is worth the money! Online GEARS OF WAR,HALO,etc. BUT ONE OF THE FEW “PERKS” OF A PS3 IS THE FREE ONLINE SERVICE, IF THAT HAPPEN$…$ONY JUST $HOT THEIR OTHER FOOT…don’t do it Sony, I just bought a ps3 slim, I’ll never pay for two online services..DELTA OUT!!

The thing is even if they do start charging xbox live is light years ahead of them in this arena. Hint: That’s why people don’t mind paying the 50 buck a year people.. Sony don’t do it! not like it would kill me anyway most of my online games are on XBL and the shooters suck on ps3 compared to xbox. But the fighting games kick xbox ass on PS3. Not to mention I do want to try MAG before this is enforced.
