Nintendo has just announced that its new DSi XL (The DSi LL in Japan) will be hitting North America on March 28th for $190. You get a few extra mm of thickness and a much larger screen with two 4.2-inch LCDs.

At launch it will be available in Burgundy and Bronze, preloaded with two DSiWare Brain Age games, Photo Clock, Flipnote Studio and the DSi Browser. Those in Europe will be getting the XL on March 5th. What do you think? Are you getting one?

I really don’t understand their point. But I guess it gives them one more product to market. I was hoping for some improvements on the hardware, but from the looks of it, there isn’t.

I might be getting one, but it’s not for me, probably a birthday present to my son. How come the release in UK is earlier compared to US? Not a big deal but I just thought of it. If this is a big hit in Japan, I’m certain that it will have the same hype in North America.
