Lenovo announced the Lephone at CES 2010 last week and just look at that sexy curvy layout. Ergonomically, we’ll see if it works well, but we have a feeling it will be just fine. The high-polish chrome finish and angles certainly make it stand out from the crowd, which is a real achievement.

Some specs include a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen with a touch-control panel underneath, a WCDMA radio, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, along with two cameras: a 3MP shooter on the back and a VGA in front for video calls.

Intel and several major computer makers have teamed up to develop and offer apps for netbook users via an Intel app store called AppUp. The store will offer apps that are free and those that are paid for download.

One of the issues that users of slider phones like the Palm Pre run into is finding a case that offers good protection and still lets the phone slide open for use. OtterBox offers all sorts of cases for different mobile devices and the company has announced a new case for the Pre.

The case is called the Tandem and is a two-piece case that attaches to the front and back section of the phone. The case offers protection from drops and still allows the Pre to slide open and closed. The case also has an over molding that protects the edges of the device.

I am not a big fan of working exclusively from a notebook. The problem is that my desktop machine is more powerful than 99% of the notebooks out there and I want to use my 30-inch display not a smaller 15.6-inch screen of the average notebook.

If you like to work from a notebook, but get tired of unhooking all the peripherals attached to it when you move around, Toshiba has a new universal notebook dock for you called the dynadock V. The dock has four USB ports along with 3.5mm jacks for headphones and a mic.

Smartbooks promise to be cheap devices that will cost $200 or so and provide smartphone-like performance with a larger screen. Some of the devices are turning up with prices more like high-end netbooks when you do not opt for a 3G plan with them.

Mobinnova has announced its smartbook called the Beam. The device has an ARM Cortex A9 processor, NVIDIA Tegra for graphics, and an 8.9-inch screen. The screen resolution is 1024 x 600 and the machine has 512MB of RAM. It also sports 512MB of NAND for the Android OS and storage is to a SSD 8 to 64GB in capacity.

Learning a new language isn’t something you do in five minutes. It takes time and practice. But having a robot help you may speed things up. TalkingRobo is a personal robot that can teach you to speak a new language. The bot features speech recognition and understands natural language when you talk to it. He is nice enough to suggest what topics to talk about so you can practice. He also has face recognition so more than one user can use him and he will recognize your face and understand your user profile. In short, he will be your new bestest buddy.

Those aren’t his only tricks either. He can recognize images. If you show it an image of an airplane, for example, it will give you the correct pronunciation of airplane, which seems like a great way to learn. Some other features include a Beam projector for displaying novels and watching movies, English dictionary and Encyclopedia, internet connectivity for updates and you can use it remotely to keep an eye on your home if you like too.

The Airnergy Charger wants to fulfill your wildest gadget charging dreams, by harvesting electricity from Wi-Fi networks, and converting it into electricity with a high enough efficiency to actually make it practical. It was being demoed at CES, where it charged a BlackBerry from a 30% charge to full in roughly 90 minutes, using Wi-Fi as the power source.

All you need is a Wi-Fi network and you are good to go. RCA expects the USB charger to be available this summer for only $40. We can’t complain about that price. And who doesn’t want to get electricity from Wi-Fi?

The PS3 model looks like an AK-47, while the Wii model just looks like what it is, crap plastic. The Wii version uses a Wiimote and Wii Motion Plus attachment, while the PS3 version uses its own built-in joystick, D-pad, and works on it’s own.

iPhone users are used to dealing with a weak battery. If you find yourself constantly charging while on the go, then chances are that you have an iPhone USB cable. Well, the flipSYNC from Scosche looks like an ordinary cable, an ordinary fob you might have on your keychain, but it can actually be unplugged from your laptop and turned into a iPhone USB cable.

That way you don’t have to worry about not having an iPhone cable with you at all times. The flipSYNC should be available very soon, but there is no pricing information yet.

A mobile phone running Google’s Android software along with a third party security app was recently stolen in Oregon and was able to fight back against it’s captors, getting itself home again. The Motorola Droid was stolen out of a couples home late at night along with a number of other electronic items and things of values.

Shortly after stealing the device the thieves snapped a few photos of themselves with the on-board camera which, unknown to them, were then uploaded to a server as part of a backup process that runs each night. The owners were then able to download the photos from the servers website and turn them over to police which eventually led to the capture of at least one of the robbers.

In the world of HTPC keyboards, this one is surely one of the best. It’s the latest version of Cideko’s Air Keyboard and it’s barely larger than your palm, but still gives you full keyboard and mouse control of your home theater PC. It also gives you transport controls for all of your media and the motion sensor moves the mouse cursor as you tilt.

Right now it’s just a prototype. According to Dvice the new rounded styling feels good in the hand and it has convenient earphone and microphone ports. It ships this summer for an unknown price.

Glo is not your typical print bible. It’s a digital version of the bible with high-definition imagery of biblical sights. For instance, a virtual representation of Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulcher shows panoramic photos of the inside down to the frescos in detail.

You won’t have to search through endless pages of scripture, since Glo is organized both by order of the big book or by geography through a topographical map. You can view overhead similar to Live Earth and zero in on biblical locations to see the HD video and documentaries, with 360 degree photo representations, and photos of works of art.
