WD TV Live Bricked by Firmware Updates

WD TV Live Bricked by Firmware UpdatesIf you have a WD TV Live HD media box, you might want to think twice about downloading a recent firmware update from Western Digital. Forum complaints report nothing but a blank screen after downloading the v1.101.12 update.

Western Digital knows about the problem and has pulled the update from its site. Until the issue is fixed, it is better to stay clear of that “upgrade now” screen until the next patch arrives. Hopefully WD is taking care of those people affected.
