There certainly are a ton of options when it comes to PMP players today. Barely a day goes by when we don’t see a new one. Icoo’s latest portable media player is the M100HDC.

Don’t let the small 4.8″ display fool you, this is a capable device. It offers support for MKV, MOV, RMVB, RM, AVI(DivX/XviD/H.264), PMP, DAT, FLV, VOB, MP4, MPG and 3GP video formats. And if you want to watch your movies on your big screen TV, the M100HDC can easily be plugged into your computer using it’s handy dandy TV Out port.

E-book readers are all the rage. You may have heard a little something about them. Do you own one yet? The Owen E1 e-book reader is pretty good on features, plus it comes in black, where most others are white.

It’s just slightly smaller than the Amazon Kindle and sports a 5″ e-ink display and audio and image file support. Whether it supports color or not, we have no idea. There is also no word on pricing just yet, but the Owen E1 looks like it will be a worthy competitor when it arrives.

On the go types know that it can be a challenge to keep, a notebook charged up when you are in the car or in the air for most of a day. To keep working you need the battery on your notebook to last and to be able to recharge the notebook while on the go.

Innergie has announced a cool new notebook charger that is universal and claims to be the smallest charger for car and air use in the world. The device is smaller than the palm of your hand and works with machines from Dell, HP, and many more companies.

There are lots of people out there who take tons of digital photos and video. That means that you either need lots of expensive memory cards or you need a way to get the content off your memory card when it’s full while out of the house.

You could take a notebook with you and download the content that way or you could take the smaller and less bulky NEXTO eXtreme portable hard drive to do the same job. The eXtreme is a portable hard drive with a built-in memory card reader and USB port.

If you are looking for a headset that will work with your Bluetooth equipped mobile phone and will work with your PC for VoIP calls as well there are lots of options. Most of them are the typical Bluetooth headsets that many wear in the car.

If you want a headset that is more oriented towards working in the office and extended wear VXI has a new device called the BlueParrott B250-XT. It looks like a headset that phone operators might wear with an over the ear, single side style.

When I first got my iPhone 3GS I downloaded a navigation app and headed out for a road trip. It didn’t take long to realize that there was no place to put the iPhone in my car where I could see it. I needed a holder of some sort like my normal GPS device has.

NewerTech has announced just such a device with a new Window Mount for the iPhone 3G/3GS. The mount is 9-inches long overall and comes in black only. The device uses a suction cup to mount the iPhone on the window of your car.

Xbox Live on Windows Mobile? Microsoft has confirmed it with a job posting. They are looking for a Principle Program Manager who would be responsible for bringing “Xbox Live enabled games to Windows Mobile”.

Microsoft seems especially interested in “avatar integration, social interaction and multi-screen experiences”. Looks like we could see some interesting developments in 2010 where mobile gaming is concerned. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

This flashlight watch from Brando is pretty neat. I’m not sure how useful it actually is, or even if it’s an official Stanley gadget, but any watch with it’s own flashlight is good by me.

It also features an alarm, backlight and a timer. At least you will always have a flashlight at the ready for those projects that you choose to build in the dead of night.

It’s no secret that we love Lego around here. We also have a special place in our hearts for the Polaroid camera. So it goes without saying that we have fallen in love with this adorable mashup.

Sadly, this Lego Polaroid 1000 instant camera doesn’t actually work. If it did it would sell like crazy. Maybe Polaroid and Lego can team up and offer us a working model, but we won’t hold our breath.

National Geographic, or Nat Geo to it’s friends, is now offering everything it has ever published on a portable 160GB HDD. That’s neat enough, but that’s not all. 100GB of that is free for you to use and add to the collection.

It’s a shame that this wasn’t available before Christmas, but at least you can get it now if you have a spare $199.95. That’s worth it for all those Volcano pictures and Native peoples showing breasts.

Wiiwaa is a upcoming Wii game where you jam your Wiimote into the mouth of some alien stuffed animal. The furry beast swallows the wiimote and then the game uses the stuffed animal as the game’s controller. This allows the toy to become motion-sensitive.

So when you shake and move the puppet around, those same movements are replicated in the game. You can also throw the thing. Hopefully not at the TV. Check out the video below.

While it won’t turn you into the Incredible Hulk or anything, the Sony Ericsson Satio is apparently leaking some serious radiation. The Satio is considered to be the highest emitter of radiation, compared to all of the phones available in the UK.

The levels are about 1.5W/kg of radiation emission, according to an article by Olga Naidenko, which involved the top ten emitters of radiation, from all the phones that are available on the UK market.

LG never slows down. Lately they’ve been on a roll with digital media players, among other things. The players are expected to have better video playback compared to that we’ve seen so far on mobile players. And the company is planning to release three cellphones that support digital-TV-playback.

The phones will supposedly work flawlessly even when the user is traveling at speeds of up to 290 kmph. That’s a bold statement. The company is also working on chips that receive direct TV feeds. Hopefully we will learn more at CES.

The latest iPhone app to turn your phone into an instrument is the String Trio, an air violin, viola and cello application for the iPhone. 20 classical and folk songs are included, while the greySox app plays with strokes of the virtual “bow”.

The iPhone’s motion sensor is used to detect the angle and length of the strokes and adjusts the playback of the music accordingly. String Trio is available at the iTunes App Store for $1.99.
