Pez Star Trek Figure MenorahThe crew of the starship Enterprise would like to wish you a happy Hanukkah! If you are celebrating the Festival of Lights, you are probably lighting your own menorah, but nothing as cool and geeky as this.

This my Jewish friends is a Star Trek Pez menorah, which boldly goes where no Menorah has gone before. The candles are actually LED lights. If you want to make one yourself it isn’t that hard.

3D Blu-ray ready by summer 2010?

Posted in 3D by Conner Flynn on December 12th, 2009

3D Blu-ray ready by summer 2010?Looks like we might be able to enjoy 3D Blu-ray movies by next summer. According to NVIDIA’s PR manager for the UK and Northern Europe, Ben Berraondo, the Blu-ray Association has finally agreed on the details of 3D Blu-ray.

NVIDIA’s 3D Vision Technology will be able to display this new standard, but most of us would need to upgrade our existing hardware as many HDTVs run at a 60Hz refresh rate, while 3D films require a refresh rate of 120Hz. I’m still not sure this 3D thing isn’t just a fad, but I guess no one wants to miss out, so every company is jumping on the bandwagon.

One of the cases is the Bamboo One mid-tower case. The front bezel of the case is made from bamboo, as is the side vent cover. The wood looks really good but they should have cut the drive bay covers from the same piece so the grain and color matched.
