Fry 2.2 lbs of fries with just a spoonful of oil |
Who doesn’t love fried food? It’s as American as Apple pie and fried Snickers bars. Sadly it is not good for you and your arteries. However this T-fal ActiFry wants to change that. How? Well, it uses just a spoonful of oil to fry up 2.2 pounds of fries. That’s pretty impressive.
It uses convection cooking as well as a rotating paddle so that the fries get crispy on all sides, even though they aren’t covered in oil. Who knows how they taste, but at least it’s healthier. $300.
Eat oil soaked fries or part with $300? Tough call.

KitchenStir in David and Goliath face-off with T-Fal
The founders of KitchenStir have disclosed patented technology and IP (intellectual property) to the majority of appliance manufacturers selling branded cooking appliances in the USA, Canada, and Europe. KitchenStir hoped to reach consumers in alliances with well-known brands; some of these polished brands revealed their agenda only after using our technology. T-Fal small appliances are manufactured in China, France, and elsewhere though the brand is dominated by their parent that we visited in France. T-Fal misled KitchenStir during 3 years of documented communications and meetings with their product development executives regarding our IP. T-Fal is opening regional markets that T-Fal cannot control. T-Fal executives refused to provide a detailed response to the claims of related KitchenStir utility patents.
T-Fal has no issued U.S.A. or Canada utility patents related to the technology used by ActiFry. KitchenStir owns issued utility patents that supersede all related T-Fal ActiFry™ patent applications worldwide. KitchenStir Healthy-Fry is the only patented “self-stirring” oven and fryer in the U.S.A. and Canada. Neither KitchenStir nor T-Fal has merely design patents related to these products that offer protection for the shape and decorative appearance. KitchenStir has US Patent 6,845,707 and Canada Patent CA 2449600.
A Protest was filed against pending T-Fal a.k.a. SEB S.A. Canada application CA 2,641,181, and US applications US2008/0213447 and US 2008/0163764 for invalidation.
