I find I like the Sony much better than the Kindle, and it reads multiple formats, including ePUB.  I believe in the long run either Amazon will make ePUB readable on the Kindle or they will fail. Just look at KOBOBOOKS.COM, Barnes and Noble, even Sony and Google, authors and publishers will prefer their books be put out in format that can be read by multiple readers.  Books readers that read only one proprietary cannot survive for long.
