Sony’s PSPgo sells 28,000 units in Japan

PSP Go leaks out before E3Looks like the PSPgo is living up to it’s name in Japan, where it’s go go go. Sony’s has moved more than 28,000 units on its first day on sale in Japan. The launch was supported with retail and download titles Persona 3 Portable and Dissidia Final Fantasy Universal Tuning, as well as download-only titles Disgaea Infinite and LocoRoco Midnight Carnival.

For comparison, the PSP-3000 sold over 140,000 units in October within a 4-day window, while the Nintendo DSi sold 170,000 in two days time.

Is this a success? You can decide.
