motorola-logoPatent infringement suits are very common and more and more they are being fought in courts in East Texas. The judge in the area is known to side with the patent holders and as a result, cases from all over the country are ending up in the rural Texas courts.

The latest such case is being filed by Klausner Technologies. The firm holds patents that have to do with visual voice mail features. Klausner alleges that the Blackberry bold 9700 and other Blackberry handsets infringe on its patents.

Klausner also alleges that the Motorola Cliq and other Motorola handsets also infringe on patents it holds. Exactly what damages Klausner is seeking is unknown at this time. The suit is being handled by the Dovel and Luner law firm from California.
