Russian wood Mouse is eco-friendly, well polishedComputer mice are mostly boring, but now and again something new catches our eye. Like these beautiful computer mice made from exotic woods. They were created by Russia’s AlestRukov, each one handcrafted from cultivated sustainable woods and carved, sanded and polished until they are shiny wood bling.

Each one is built from quality electronic components and feature an optical resolution of 1600 dpi, along with microswitches rated for over 1 million clicks. If that isn’t enough, how about a stiff, yet bendable cable that keeps the cord from getting in your way.

Posted in Microsoft by Conner Flynn on November 23rd, 2009

bingRupert Murdoch isn’t very happy with Google making News Corp content available to everybody, but word is that Microsoft is offering to pay News Corp to de-index its news sites from Google, which would probably drive those searching for News Corp sites to Bing.

If that happens, UK folks would probably see The Times and The Sun no longer on Google News. Murdoch has previously threatened to remove News Corp content from Google, so this could prove an added incentive for him to do so.

Chrome OS and Android will one day merge

Posted in Google by Conner Flynn on November 23rd, 2009

Chrome OS and Android will one day mergeSergey Brin says that “Android and Chrome will likely converge over time.” It’s unclear when this might occur though. In fact, Google CEO Eric Schmidt attempts to downplay the difference between Google’s operating systems in a recent CNET interview, which makes us wonder if Google has a clear idea of where this is going.

Schmidt prefers not to “prejudge the success” of each. “The future will unfold as it does,” he says, and the open-source community will determine the natural fit. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Wiitality for hands-free Wii-fit play

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on November 22nd, 2009

Wiitality for hands-free Wii-fit playMan, playing games on the Wii can be hard. You are expected to do stuff like move your arms, hold them up, push buttons… All while holding the Wiimote. Add an exercise game to that, like Wii-Fit and it can be brutal. What, do they think we are superhuman?

Well, Talismoon’s Wiitality accessory can help. What we have here is little more than a neoprene band that holds your Wiimote in place, securing the controller on your arm with Velcro straps. At least they aren’t trying to charge a ton of money for it. The Wiitality will cost you $3 at Amazon.
