Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on November 27th, 2009

80 percent of female console gamers choose WiiIf choosy moms choose Jif, than choosy female gamers apparently choose the Wii. Nintendo recently did some info checking and it turns out that the Wii is outperforming its rivals when it comes to female gamers. According to its estimates, 80 percent of the female console gaming crowd prefers Wii over the alternatives.

There are an estimated 11.7 million female console gamers in the Americas, but keep in mind that this data doesn’t take into account DS owners or PC users. However this figure adds up to roughly nine million ladies. In related news, men are now encouraged to approach women only in 480p mode, displaying cartoony graphics, with no good titles to your name. This apparently woos the ladies.

$3.2m iPhone 3GS Supreme

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on November 26th, 2009

$3.2m iPhone 3GS SupremeLet’s face it, your iPhone doesn’t draw the kind of attention it used to now that everyone has one. Maybe it’s time to up your game to this blinged out iPhone. Surely you have a spare £1.92m (That’s $3.2m) to drop on this thing.

It is the shiny hellspawn of Goldstriker’s Stuart Hughes, who took 10 months to create it. Yeah, he’s a little slow as well as unimaginative. It was commissioned by an anonymous Australian gold mining magnate, which makes perfect sense since the phone features a bunch of gold and diamonds as well as a single cut rare 7.1 carat diamond in the home button.

FedEX SenseAware keeps an eye on your packageYour package is important. You must always protect your package. It hurts when your package is abused and kicked, which can result in you falling to your knees sobbing… I’m talking about your package, not the family jewels. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Never worry about your package again, with FedEX’s SenseAware. It will give you much more useful info regarding your package, than the traditional tracking number does. The device uses an accelerometer, light sensor, cellular transmitter and a GPS receiver to gather and report data on how your package is being treated…Or mistreated. It even knows whether it was opened in the desired location. You can log on to the website and check out the info any time.

Motorola has stronger brand loyalty than AppleThis is going to be surprising to some of you and the title above seems impossible, but after you look at the situation more in depth, you can see why Motorola would have a stronger brand loyalty than Apple. The info comes from a recent survey from YouGov’s BrandIndex.

I wonder what changed recently? Oh yeah, the launch of the Motorola Droid and Verizon’s not-to-kind-to-Apple advertisements.

Koreans to get full HD 3D shows

Posted in HD by Conner Flynn on November 26th, 2009

Koreans to get full HD 3D showsLooks like the Koreans have gone 3D crazy. Crazy about implementing 3D. Crazy like a 3D fox. The Korea Communications Commission has announced that it will start broadcasting 3D broadcasts in full HD quality in 2010.

Licensing starts in January, so the first broadcasts should be by mid-year. We’ve seen 3D satellite broadcasts tested in Japan and the UK, but this will be delivered through terrestrial networks. I wonder if we will get all 3D crazy over here. Good luck grabbing that pack of smokes from Joe Camel.
