I felt Sony was onto something when they came out with the f707. The tilting lens was awesome. I could shoot from up high or down low and see exactly what I was getting. I no longer had to keep the camera up to my eye. I guess it never caught on.
This looks pretty cool but, whether it sucks or not depends on a couple things; quality of image, actual ease of use, whether bumping those easy to reach buttons happens when you least want it to…
I don’t see the viewfinder in the viewfinder in this picture and that’s a big factor. To me, it looks like a very high quality webcam. I need to know the specs and take it for a test drive before I can say whether it’s crap or not.

I’m not against giving the DSLR a new form, but this one looks like a pain to stow away in a bag. I’d rather have my clucky rectangular brick, thank you!

With film-based cameras, form followed function, but there’s no reason (aside from tradition) that digital cameras must adhere to a traditional camera shape. That rectangular box format may be comfortably familiar, but it’s far from ergonomic.
