They have a chart showing Motorola's results exceeding Apple's - but read the tab: 'Recommend'. Since it was just after Droid came out, it's not surprising that a lot of people might have recommended it. Not to mention that only a subset of the population (males 18+) was reported. What about the other 8 tabs?Oh, and there's still the issue of how the survey was done. It is clear from the faq that it's a paid survey with an unrepresentative sample of people.Just another bogus 'let's bash Apple' survey.

The flaw in this ‘survey’ is obvious. MOT is in serious trouble financially and is about to break up into several divisions.... if it had brand loyalty as I understand it, this would not be the case.....It shows you how FUD can creep into just about any promotion.... Android certainly in a high marketing phase.... let's see how things look after the completion of the Holiday selling season...... MOT will not be saved by the Droid... anyone who believes that is going to lose a lot of money.....

This is a laugh….. The last time I saw a brand recognition/loyalty survey on phone makers, Nokia was at the top, followed by Blackberry and then Apple, Motorola wasn't even high enough to be recognized along with Sony/Ericson, LG and Samsung. What is also even more puzzling is this survey is of UK adults, so far as I'm aware the Motorola 'Droid' isn't even available in the UK....

I’m wagering that there’s some leading flaw in how this survey was performed. I think it'll be a good competitor to Apple's iPhone, which up until now really didn't have one. It's also good to see Moto create a great phone again.

I like my Droid – it’s nice to have a good app-phone on the Verizon network. Band Loyalty is the historic propensity of a consumer's commitment to repurchase or otherwise continue using the brand and can be demonstrated by repeated buying that brand's products. The Droid is a three week old product you can't measure "brand loyalty" based upon the sales of a new product for three weeks. I went to the YouGov web site to verify the claims of this headline and found that this chart is specifically a measurement of "Recommendation" buy a segment of the market (males 18+) where when upon the release of the Droid they were recommending others consider the product. This has nothing whatsoever to do with "Brand Loyalty". It's a news cycle event on the buzz around a new release. What is however significant here is the HUGE differential Apple has the previous week with a phone that has been out since June. Motorola will need to do some work to maintain these numbers going forward.Anyway, the person that wrote this hasn't a clue.

Something is very wrong here. Motorola is likely on the verge of bankruptcy and won't likely last another year. Comparing a company such as Motorola to Apple is a crime. One company (Motorola) has failure after failure and the other company success after success (Apple). Two U.S. companies quickly going in opposite directions.

Motorola, that crappy company run by crooked executives and idiots, could never have brand loyalty better than Apple’s.
