Many of you have been waiting for RIM to release an updated version of the candybar-styled BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Series Smartphone. Well, the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 is finally getting a successor in the 9100. One that has done away with the pearl for a now-standard touchpad. The SureType keyboard and the dimensions look about the same.

This new Pearl (Codenamed Striker) also features a newly-designed battery. We should have more specs and info soon. Until then you can drool over the image and save your dough.
