Amazon Kindle breaks sales records in November

kindledx-sbI don’t get why companies are so hesitant to tell how much of a certain product they are selling. Apple tells us how many iPhones it sells if for no other reason than to make other smartphone makers feel inferior.

Amazon has by most accounts the most successful eReader available, but the company will not tell us how many of the devices it sells. Amazon did come out today and announced that the Kindle has broken its single month sales record in November.

Interestingly this record was broken before sales expected today for Cyber Monday were counted in. Amazon won’t tell us exactly how many of the devices it sold. I wish Amazon would just give us a number so we can get an idea how big the eReader market is.
