The 3D effects are pretty good, however I am not sure if they will add much to game play. The tools? Well the TV does all the hard work of producing the 3D effects. Since most games are 3D, it is just a simple process of modifying the output from the graphics card for the TV. I guess a firmware update will do that. The Wii should be able to support 3D TV.If you are referring to real 3D TVs, it really isn't going to catch on for at leat 3-4 years. Why ... too expensive.

There is already a range of 3D TVs out there. Philips etc… They are just a little too expensive.
