philipswakeuplightI have never had a problem getting out of bed in the morning, my wife on the other hand is worse than my kids. For people who don’t wake up well, Philips has unveiled a new alarm clock called the Wake-up Light.

The clock has a traditional alarm built in and the iPod docking model can wake you to music from your playlist, FM radio, or different nature sounds. The big feature of the device is the light that simulates a sunrise.

The sunrise light comes on 30 minutes before your alarm goes off and gradually brightens the room. Philips claims that the Wake-up Light is clinically proven to make getting up easier. The iPod docking model sells for $199.99 and a version minus the dock sells for $169.99.
