Posted in Digital Photo Frames by Conner Flynn on October 1st, 2009

iMo Foto Frame PrinterHot on the heels of Sony’s new digital photo frame/printer, comes this iMo Foto Frame Printer. Yep, it’s an 8″, 800 x 600 digital photo frame and printer all mangled lovingly together.

It’s a stand-alone device and doesn’t require a computer connection, but it sports a USB input and accepts CF/SD/MS/MMC and xD memory cards. It may not be the most attractive thing in the world, but it prints 6 x 4 glossy prints at 300 dpi. The cartridge is replaceable and holds enough paper and ink for 36 prints.

Disney Digital Books interact with young readers

Disney Digital Books interact with young readersIf you want to instill a love of reading in your child early on, this may be a good way to do so. Disney’s new range of eBooks will feature a “Disney-level experience” according to the company. These eBooks feature a “look and listen” section for beginners, where the book will be read aloud by voice actors to a soundtrack and each word will be highlighted as it is being spoken.

That should learn them kids. If your child wants to read alone and finds a word he or she doesn’t recognize, they just click on it and a voice will read it to them. It’s a great visual way for kids to learn.

15 awesome Star Trek Lego creationsIt’s a shame that Lego doesn’t have the Star Trek license. There are so many cool ships and scenes from the Star Trek universe that could be built by kids and adults. Instead, it’s up to Lego enthusiasts to create their Trek masterpieces. Below are 15 that we like, but the universe is filled with so many more.

Cellos made of Lego bricks are all well and good and we really dig Lego combination safes, but Star Trek Lego creations are the “logical” choice.
