BlackBerry Bold in white

Posted in BlackBerry by Conner Flynn on October 8th, 2009

BlackBerry Bold in whiteYou knew it had to happen eventually. RIM has just outed the new BlackBerry Bold in white, with a white leather back. It will arrive on AT&T for $200 on October 18th. We aren’t sure why they would re-color the Bold with the Bold 2 apparently coming soon, but they have some sort of strategy it seems.

It will be here just in time for a white Christmas. It’s also the perfect BB for a white wedding. It’s up to you to decide if its tacky or cool in white. We are undecided.

Dell puts nail polish on laptopsAlways one to try to impress the ladies(And fail), Dell is at it again. This time the company is putting the color of your favorite nail polish on your laptop’s lid. Dell has teamed up with OPI, the nail polish maker in order to put 26 shades on laptops.

The privilege will cost you an extra $85. And you won’t have to put cotton balls between the lid and base while blowing it dry. For once, Dell might be onto something that the ladies will like. Maybe.

Mad Catz’s Wireless Fender Telecaster is distressed

Mad Catz's Wireless Fender Telecaster is distressedWe’ve seen plenty of Rock Band guitars, but the new Rock Band ‘Player’s Edition’ Fender Telecaster for the Xbox 360 has a distressed look. For $110. By now I would think everyone has a Rock Band guitar, so $110 seems pretty steep, distressing or no.

The Mad Catz guitar also features Shredderz fret buttons that should make it easier to rock those solos. Some other features include the optional Electro-Harmonix Overdrive Pedal, the back tuning button, tilt mechanism, and a new touch sensitive pickup.

Moshimy iPhone dock is cool

Posted in Concepts by Shane McGlaun on October 7th, 2009

ipoddockconceptYou know most iPod docks tend to look the same. You can pretty much count on them being boxy and black no matter what the brand is. Sure, you can find some in other colors but the majority are rather bland looking. A cool design concept for an iPod dock called Moshimy has been unveiled that looks cool.

The dock is aimed at the iPod or iPhone user and was designed by Michael Young for Native Union. The device has a brushed aluminum cover and an olive green body. The dock slides in and out of the base of the device for a sleeker profile when not in use.

Dymo CardScan for Windows Mobile launches

Posted in Mobile Accessories by Shane McGlaun on October 7th, 2009

cardscanmobile-logoI used to have a job years ago where I actually left the house and had to talk to people. I even collected a fair share of business cards, which I tended to throw away because I was too lazy to put the data into a database of any sort. If you need to collect business cards for your work, but are sick of manual entry of the data, Dymo has a new app for Windows Mobile devices for you.

The app is called Dymo CardScan Mobile and works with Windows Mobile 6+ devices that have cameras with at least 2-megapixels. All you need to do to get the information from the business card into your phone is take a picture of the card with your phones camera.

Sanyo unveils new two iPhone/iPod alarm clocks

Posted in Sanyo by Shane McGlaun on October 7th, 2009

sanyoipodclocksI have seen several iPod/iPhone alarm clocks hit the streets over the last few weeks. A few of them are now sporting dual docks to keep more than one Apple device charged up. Sanyo has jumped into the iPod alarm clock action with a couple new devices today including the DMP-P1 Cube Alarm Clock Radio and the DMP-692 Dual dock music System.

The DMP-692 is one of those snazzy new dual dock devices that can charge your iPhone and your iPod at the same time. The clock has three alarms and can wake you to a buzzer, AM/FM radio, or your favorite playlist. The radio also has an auxiliary input for CD palyers and non-dockable PMPs. A remote controller is included as well.

An expensive snake uglies up a laptop

Posted in Dell by Conner Flynn on October 7th, 2009

An expensive snake uglies up a laptopWhat the hell is Dell thinking? They show us the awesome looking Dell Adamo XPS and then they show us this Bergdorf Goodman monstrosity. It’s a fugly Swarovski Crystal, sterling silver snake on top of an etched Adamo 13 lid.

It’s ugly. It makes the laptop at least twice as thick and Swarovski anything is gaudy. Even if they are diamonds, who cares. This thing is just nasty looking. It’s just short of gluing a turd on the thing. What do you all think?

This baby sports a super nice woodgrain finish, comes bundled with a 16GB microSD card, and has some preloaded music content. Pretty nice huh?

ispyWhat better way to celebrate Halloween then with an iPhone app or 10. Below are 10 of our favorites. All are ghoulishly good fun and will get you in the Halloween spirit. Plus, these will give you something to do while you are hiding in your house, pretending you aren’t home and eating all the candy yourself. You disgust me. But if you share some of that chocolate, I won’t tell.

Dell just revealed this thing today. Sadly they did little more than wave it around and put it away so we don’t have any specs.

Looks like it unfolds in a new way though and it makes even a MacBook Air look fat. We should get some specs soon and when we do, we’ll let you know.
