New MacBook unibody available todayApple has a new unibody MacBook, which is basically a glossy white version of the familiar 13-inch MacBook Pro and it’s in stores today for $999. The new plastic casing is built in the same way as the aluminum MacBook Pros. This 13-incher features an LED-backlit display, new glass multitouch trackpad, and a built-in 7 hour battery.

Some other features include a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM (8GB max), an NVIDIA 9400M GPU, 250GB hard drive and SuperDrive. And yes it looks just like all of the other MacBooks. We were kinda hoping for some new design.

Apple’s Magic Mouse

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on October 20th, 2009

Apple's Magic MouseAlso in Apple news, say hello to the Magic Mouse. It’s a “two button” laser mouse, which has one button and no scroll wheel. Instead it has a multitouch surface across the top that allows you to do similar gestures like with the Mac trackpad: two-finger swipes, single-finger horizontal and vertical scrolling etc.

The wireless mouse has an impressive four-month battery life, and is available today for $69. Apple is marching toward a future devoid of buttons entirely. In case this mouse doesn’t make that clear.

Blue Screen of Death belt

Blue Screen of Death beltMan, my underpants are really unstable. You zip your pants up wrong or tighten your belt too much and bam, everything freezes up and I get the Blue Screen of Death on my belt buckle. Control-Alt-Delete doesn’t seem to work, which really sucks because it takes a while to boot up my junk again.

BSOD humor is apparently alive and well and invading belts. You get a metal buckle with clam style closure, a cotton/acrylic blend of fabric for the belt and an image of the Blue Screen of Death.

Mariah Carey and iRiver to release Limited Edition N20

Mariah Carey and iRiver to release Limited Edition N20iRiver is rolling out the N20 Mariah Carey edition which will come preloaded with 17 tracks from her latest album called Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. We have no idea how the N20 will be controlled and if it uses the usual 3.5mm headphone jack.

Some say it’s controlled by a touch interface, some say there are buttons on the back. Maybe the controls are on a touchscreen that looks like a scantily clad Mariah, so geeks can feel her up and play tunes. We just don’t know.
