Nintendo shipping black Wii to EuropeWhat’s the deal Nintendo? Americans deserve a black Wii as much as the next country. Who kept your console in demand and out of stock all these years? We’ve killed countless HDTVs with our Wiimotes. It makes kids do this. Why Nintendo? Why?

Do people in the UK and Ireland really need a dark Wii on November 6th? As part of a limited edition bundle no less. that includes Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus dongle. The rest of Europe will get the bundle on November 20th. Plus they get a black Classic Controller Pro and other black Wii accessories.

You break our hearts Nintendo.

does anyone have a reason why nintendo would do this? I mean what is the reason why they would not ship a color to a country? I mean is it cost? It can not be sales can it? There HAS to be a good reason. They want to wait until the last possible minute in the US the sell it? Like if the US stopped buying so many of them, THEN they would throw out the black one to get more sales at that point? Just doesn’t make sense. Too many white ones still in stock in the US?? I just do not get it.

It’s probably as simple as this: More units sold in the US over christmas means that maybe they won’t be able to meet the demand to keep the black ones in stock in the US, so they sell it (initially), in a market that they can handle production levels. They probably don’t want to piss people off by anouncing it and then no one being able to find it (like the Wii in general for the past few xmases.
