Canon EOS 1D Mark V due tomorrow? The rumor is that the Canon EOS 1D Mark V will be announced tomorrow to coincide with Canon’s 50th SLR anniversary. Some unconfirmed specs include: 16 Megapixel APS-H sensor, 12fps burst, 1080p 24,25,30,60fps video and 19 auto-focus points.

They skipped the IV model due to the Japanese viewing it as an unlucky number. The Mark V is unofficially predicted to cost roughly $5,000 and would ship by late November.

Will there be an “S” version? So many awesome new cameras coming out. How long before my 5D Mark II becomes obsolete?
