AT&T announces TerreStar Genus smartphoneAT&T and TerreStar have teamed up to unveil the new TerreStar Genus hybrid smartphone. This one will be able to use both AT&T’s network and TerreStar’s satellite network when you want to make or receive calls. What this means to you is that you will be able to take advantage of the satellite network when there isn’t a cellular signal. So you will always be available.

It’s a Windows Mobile-powered handset with GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 2.6″ touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi support, GPS navigation and Bluetooth.

Starting the first quarter of 2010, the TerreStar Genus smartphone will be available to AT&T enterprise, government and small business customers.
